Vintage Ski Posters
Vintage ski posters are not only attractive, but properly framed make a great addition to any rooms decor.
The perfect addition for a bedroom or dorm room, these vintage ski posters provide an idealized view of some of the most well known skiing locations from around the world. Who wouldn’t love to take a quick study break and fantasize about skiing in St Moritz, Gstaad, the Canadian Rockies, Jackson Hole, or Whistler.
Indulge yourself, just a little, by keeping your fun side within reach and bring a little piece of your favorite mountain (whether you’ve actually hit the slopes there or not) into your home.
With so many great ski locations and championship events (including the Olympics) around the world, it might be hard to pick that one mountain or resort that’s your favorite. Since all snow is not created equal, what makes one slope better than the next usually has more to do with the mountians location, or more specifically, the surrounding scenery.
Who wouldn’t love to glide down the Swiss Alps all day, and then reminesce the days runs in the luxury of Gstaad’s exclusive hotels. Perhaps you prefer the serenity of the secluded wilderness surrounding Jackson Hole Wyoming or Whistler Britich Columbia. If the mountain is steep enough, the snow deep enough and the runs long enough, every slope is a memory waiting to be made. But if you aren’t fortunate enough to ski anywhere in the world you want, vintage ski posters will bring the world to you.
Can’t get to Europe to ski the Alps. no big deal, a short trip north to Canada will land you in a similar winter wonderland. The Canadian Rockies were built by the same geologic forces as the Alps (upthrusting of tectonic paltes). Located along the border of the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, you’ll find great skiing in Banff, Lake Louise and Whistler.
Generally, I’m happy to get down the hill without getting hurt or breaking/losing any equipment, but you’d need to be either certifiably crazy, or extremely talented, to perform the acrobatics in the following video. Of course you can always imagine yourself flying gracefully through the air, and sticking the perfect landing as you look at your vintage ski poster. Anyway, check it out.
